It’s always a great day when a corporate conference takes place right here in Nashville and the organizers decide to include professional headshots as part of the event. It’s even better when the event organizer has a choice of photographers and trusts me with representing their company and professional image. That’s an honor I never take lightly.

 

There are many factors that go into selecting a photographer for a corporate headshot event, and clients deserve a professional who understands the expectations that come with representing their brand.

 

Some of those factors include:

  • Being a professional photographer approved by the venue when business insurance is required—as it should be.

  • Punctuality and reliability.

  • Arriving with the proper equipment and professional lighting setup.

  • Efficient setup and teardown to respect the venue and event schedule.

  • The ability to move through the queue efficiently while still capturing each subject in a flattering way, whether they are comfortable in front of the camera or a bit hesitant.

  • Prompt delivery of files through an easy-to-use gallery system.

  • Professional, natural-looking retouching that enhances the image without obvious signs of editing.

 

Corporate headshot events move quickly, and every subject deserves to walk away with a portrait they feel confident using to represent themselves and their company. My goal is always to deliver a smooth, professional experience while producing images that people are proud to use. It never hurts to keep it light and fun in the process, as some expect the worst! It means a lot to hear that conference goers have a favorable experience with me, and like their headshots.
